The Covergence Session Manager transforms voice dial-tone into an IP network function and manages it to five 9's of reliability. CSM is middleware that virtualizes multi-vendor PBXs and Unified Communications systems into a single cohesive voice service. It consolidates and encapsulates common voice functions into a set of shared SOA components.
CSM moves routing, security, control, interoperability, monitoring, and QoS into a common SOA-based session layer creates an vendor independent control plane, as specified by 3GPP, IMS and others. This enables all systems to be centrally managed and controlled and it gives the security, compliance and operations teams the span-of-control over VoIP they require.
