    The access-edge SBC has to process registration traffic, manage registration floods, authenticate users, protect the service from intrusions and attacks, encrypt and decrypt signaling and media, enforce user-defined policies, and manage thousands-to-millions of active endpoints - with negligible latency, jitter and loss. Covergence Session Manager is designed to efficiently terminate, secure, control and manage very large numbers of stateful or stateless user connections.


    Intelligent Peering Solutions

    Covergence Session Manager provides advanced peering solutions for VoIP and IMS carrier environments. Its policy-based adaptive routing capability allows organizations to dynamically route sessions based on cost, quality, congestion, and business rules through its Web Services interface. Adaptive routing ensures least cost routing while optimizing quality, performance and reliability for real-time traffic being transmitted over IP networks. Its IMS-compliant system architecture includes independent signaling proxy, media proxy and policy decision functions.


    SIP Trunks

    Unified Communications

    Covergence Session Manager enables service providers to quickly deliver hosted Unified Communications services to business customers. It has been integrated with both Microsoft Office Communications Server (OCS) and Live Communications Server (LCS) so that providers can easily add presence-enabled instant messaging, audio, video, white-boarding and application sharing to their VoIP offering.
